The free BoP Pass invites you to journey through the same streets as Frederick Douglass, Billie Holiday, Thurgood Marshall and other changemakers whose contributions to history paved the way for the thriving Black businesses and cultural institutions that define the city today. What is the BoP Pass?
With the BoP Pass, it pays to explore Baltimore’s rich Black history and culture. In addition to coupons for discounted admission to Baltimore museums and special offers from local businesses, the pass highlights the many free locales in which you can deepen your knowledge of famous African American figures like Frederick Douglass, Harriet Tubman and the celebrities that once occupied Pennsylvania Avenue Black Arts & Entertainment District.

You can redeem the points they earn visiting museums, historical sites and businesses for prizes provided by Visit Baltimore and partners. There are two prize tiers. Those who earn 30 points can claim a Visit Baltimore BoP poster or a gift card to Matriarch Coffee; earn 50 points and you’re eligible to claim a Visit Baltimore beanie or a family membership to the Reginald F. Lewis Museum.
Once you visit (or check in to) five locations on the pass, you will be automatically entered into a giveaway for a Grand Prize of two tickets to the Millennium Tour featuring Trey Songz, Omarion and Bow Wow at CFG Bank Arena on March 16.
The Grand Prize winner will be selected and contacted on March 2.

Is there a fee to participate?
No! The BoP Pass is free to access and use. It features a mix of paid and free attractions, plus exclusive offers from Black-owned businesses. -
How do I earn points?
The app uses GPS data to validate your location. You will be checked in and earn points once you arrive at the business, attraction or historical site. -
How do I claim prizes?
Prizes are listed on the "Rewards" tab within the pass. Once you earn the required points to redeem a prize, you can click the “Claim Now” button for that prize. After claiming a prize, those points will be deducted from your earned point total. -
How will the Grand Prize winner be chosen?
Every pass holder who visits five pass destinations (monitored via GPS reporting) before March 1 will be entered into the Grand Prize lottery. The Grand Prize winner will be selected at random from this group on March 2. -
How can I add my Black-owned business to the pass?
Business owners who wish to join the BoP Pass should email Senior Content Coordinator, Kathryn Baker, at [email protected].
