Take a virtual museum tour
Baltimore’s museums—the Baltimore Museum of Art, the Walters Art Museum, the Reginald F. Lewis Museum, the Baltimore Museum of Industry and the Maryland Center for History and Culture—have online collections you can browse at your own pace. Pick the topic you’re most interested in and dive in—you may even come across items that are not on view at the museum.
Live stream animal encounters
The National Aquarium and the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore both have multiple live stream cameras that show different habitats in real time. At the zoo, catch the penguins during feeding time, watch the flamingos bathe in the water or try to spot an elephant. The aquarium has lenses on the blacktip reef sharks, the jellyfish pool and the Pacific coral reef.

Sample the flavors of Baltimore.
Baltimore is known for its fresh, local seafood–especially Maryland blue crabs. If that’s what you’re craving, you’re in luck! Have the crabs shipped directly to your house from the Crab Depot. Or try the next best thing – crab cakes! Local favorites like Faidley’s Seafood, Pappas Seafood Co., Costas Inn, Jimmy’s Famous Seafood and Koco’s Pub all offer nationwide shipping for crab cakes and other Chesapeake Bay seafood delicacies.
