Visit Baltimore would like to thank all who attended our annual meeting on August 19 at the Hippodrome. At the meeting, President and CEO Tom Noonan guided guests through the past fiscal year and shared record-breaking 2014 visitor information: 24.5 million domestic visitors who spent $5.2 billion.
Also announced were the year's award winners. The William Donald Schaefer Baltimore Tourism Visionary Award was presented to Kevin Plank, CEO and founder of Under Armour; Customer of the Year was presented to both the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine and the Food and Safety Summit; Baltimore Salesperson of the Year was awarded to Tessa Hill-Aston, president of the Baltimore City Branch of the NAACP; and the Charlyene E. Grimes Customer Service Award was given to Gene Taylor, of the National Aquarium. We congratulate all of the winners and thank them for their service and dedication to Baltimore.
