Washington D.C. Sales Mission Successful in Showcasing Baltimore Brand to Meeting Professionals

In March Visit Baltimore hosted its annual Washington, D.C. General Manager Sales Mission. The mission is a customer-based event that leverages senior leadership from Visit Baltimore and the Baltimore hospitality community to create opportunities for meaningful conversation about the Baltimore value proposition, nurture existing customer relationships while also developing new ones.

The Visit Baltimore team spent their time meeting with clients in D.C. and Virginia, as well has hosting two receptions. The team set appointments with six clients that represent not only 29,472 definite room nights and an estimated economic impact of $14 million but also 39,963 tentative room nights valued at more than $21 million. The team had an additional 40 clients that attended two receptions, one at Rake's Progress, Spike Gjerde's new restaurant and the other at Par BX. These clients represent 24,106 definite room nights and $17 million in economic impact, as well as 18,414 in prospective or tentative room nights.
