To celebrate the power of tourism, Visit Baltimore and the Visit Baltimore Foundation are developing an integrated week of programming May 6-13 that shines a light on the Baltimore tourism experience and the organizations and people who make our industry remarkable. We need your help to make Baltimore Tourism Week a success.
• Baltimore Tourism Day – Saturday, May 6
We're organizing a day for visitors and residents alike to explore the unique assets, history and experiences available in Baltimore's neighborhoods, while getting to know the faces behind them. To facilitate that exploration, Visit Baltimore is coordinating a FREE hop-on/hop-off guided bus tour with stops in many of Baltimore's unique neighborhoods. We are asking our member businesses, attractions and sites along those routes to join us in offering special activities and programs to ensure our neighborhoods truly shine.
Check out the draft bus route here. If you are a Visit Baltimore member located along a proposed stop and would like to offer a special program, deal or discount to promote to bus-tour riders on May 6, please let us know by emailing [email protected] by Thursday, April 13.
• Career Pathways & Resources Fair – Tuesday, May 9
Tourism is a top Baltimore employer providing exciting opportunities for local talent and career progression. In partnership with the Mayor's Office of Employment Development, we are coordinating a first-time, sector-focused career pathways and job-readiness fair for job-seekers to network with Baltimore area employers from a variety of industry sectors; hear from individuals and inspirational speakers; and take advantage of a variety of free resources in one place to help them in their job search.
The fair will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at a central downtown location. Employers and organizations can sign up to have a booth and/or participate in informational speaking sessions by completing the registration form here.
• Visit Baltimore's Spring Member Networking Mixer – Wednesday, May 10
Mark your calendars – our Spring Member Networking Mixer will be held at Bond Street Social. Event start time will be 5:30 p.m. (with registration opening at 5 p.m.)
