Experience Authentic Baltimore

In any season, there are endless opportunities to discover what Baltimore is all about, from touring Fort McHenry the birthplace of our national anthem, to enjoying a day on the bay or an authentic crab feast.

In addition to being accessible, having a compact waterfront “convention campus” and excellent facilities and hotels, Baltimore is also a vibrant cultural center, a place with a sense of history and a destination that maintains a playful spirit and flavors all its own.

Meeting professionals have many opportunities to choose from when it comes to introducing their attendees or VIP groups to authentic Baltimore experiences, and our Convention Services team can always help them plan the right off-site event for any group, be it big or small.

Crab Feasts

Perhaps nothing says “Baltimore” or “Chesapeake Bay” more than a traditional crab feast. Reserve a table, room or dockside deck at one of our many local crab houses or set up a picnic in a park and hunker down over a steaming bushel of spicy crustaceans. You can also pick a venue and have the sumptuous seafood catered. Crabs are at their most bountiful in the summer and early fall, and a traditional feast includes all of the trimmings from corn on the cob to beer. Some feasts also feature Maryland fried chicken or pit beef for non-crabbers.

Dine Around Baltimore

Baltimore’s culinary scene has recently been attracting a lot of attention, as many popular local chefs and food experts seem to be either lending their services to television programs or earning rave reviews in top “foodie” publications. Many of our most note-worthy restaurants offer private dining facilities, while a dine-around in one of the city’s neighborhoods is also a tasty choice for groups of all sizes.

Let your guests sample the fare at some resident favorites in Little Italy, Fell’s Point, or any other of Baltimore’s one-of-a-kind neighborhoods. Many restaurants offer cooking classes and wine-tasting as well, while the wineries located on the outskirts of the city are perfect for smaller groups.

Discovering the many entertainment and music establishments in Power Plant Live! is a fun-filled way to sample Baltimore’s nightlife.

Exceptional Sports

Baltimore is a sports town with a rich history of exceptional athletic achievements and a strong lineup of great locations where you can stage an event. Following the example of professional baseball’s “Iron Man” – hometown hero Cal Ripken, Jr. – we’re ready to go the extra mile and do whatever it takes to make your function as successful as possible.

At venues that range from Oriole Park at Camden Yards and the Camden Club to the NFL Ravens M&T Bank Stadium, you can host a dinner, tailgate or host a block party.
