Baltimore Pride

Every year, Baltimore Pride celebrates the contributions made to society by sexual and gender minorities. Hosted by the Pride Center of Maryland, Pride brings 100,000 people from throughout the region to Baltimore for a week of celebration, recognition and fun.

Festivities take place in Mount Vernon, Station North and Druid Hill Park. Keep reading for more information regarding the parade, performers, PRIDE parties and more!

There is so much to see and do in the Mount Vernon neighborhood any day of the year. You can’t visit the historic neighborhood without checking out the view from Baltimore’s own Washington Monument. Other cultural attractions include the Walters Art Museum, the Maryland Center for History & Culture (where the original copy of the “Star-Spangled Banner” is kept) and the stunning George Peabody Library, where you can peruse six floors of more than 300,000 books. Take high tea at the Ivy Hotel (the only Relais & Châteaux hotel in Maryland). Then, enjoy a performance at Baltimore Center Stage, or hear the world-renowned Baltimore Symphony Orchestra at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall.

Located in the northern part of Baltimore, Druid Hill Park is home to several popular attractions including the The Maryland Zoo, the Howard Peters Rawlings Conservatory & Botanic Gardens, a public pool, disc golf courses, tennis courts and the man-made Druid Hill Reservoir. You could spend a whole day exploring the park, giving you that rustic outdoor experience without ever leaving the city.

The nearby neighborhoods of Hampden and Remington are home to an abundance of vintage boutiques, bookstores, artisan goods, art studios, breweries and eateries.

  • Are all Pride events free?

  • Can I take public transportation to Druid Hill Park?

      Druid Hill Park is accessible via SubwayLink, Light RailLink and the CityLink bus line. If taking the SubwayLink, get off at the Mondawmin metro stop. Those taking the Light RailLink should depart at Woodberry. Most bus routes stop near Druid Hill Park. See this link to find the bus closest to your starting location.
  • Can I take public transportation to Pride?

      Yes! There are several Light Rail stops within the Pride footprint: Lexington Market, Mount Vernon, Cultural Center / State Center and Mt. Royal/MICA. The closest Light Rail stop to Mount Vernon Pride is Cultural Center. If you are coming from BWI or via Amtrak, you can also get off at Penn Station and make the short walk to the Mount Vernon neighborhood. Local buses 51, 75 and 73 also stop near the festival. The closest Light Rail stop to the start of the Pride parade is North Avenue Station. Local buses 51, 95 and 103 also stop at the intersection of Charles St. and North Ave. where the parade starts. Please check the MTA website the day-of to ensure all buses are running. To get to Druid Hill Park, you can take the CityLink lime or orange lines, or local buses 22, 26 and 29.
  • Where can I park for Pride?

      Street parking will be extremely limited in Mount Vernon and Station North during Pride, but there are some parking garages in both neighborhoods. See our parking page to find an available garage. There is free parking throughout Druid Hill Park, both along the road and in lots. It fills up quickly, so consider carpooling and arriving early to secure your spot.
