For Couples
Whether you want to treat your partner to a traditional Valentine’s experience—candle-lit dinner and all—or try something new, these Charm City date ideas are sure to impress:
- Design floral bouquets for one another at Local Color Flowers or switch it up and opt for terrarium making at B. Willow.
- If you’re up for a little competition, practice your swing at Topgolf (don’t worry about the cold, the bays are climate controlled) or head to Patterson Pins to try your hand at a classic Baltimore pastime, duckpin bowling.
- Give your partner the world by taking them stargazing at the Maryland Science Center’s Davis Planetarium.
- Charter a private yacht with Watermark to enjoy unparalleled views of the Inner Harbor.
- Enjoy a cozy, romantic dinner followed by drinks at a swanky cocktail lounge, or flex your own culinary skills at a couple’s cooking class with Baltimore Chef Shop or Schola.
- Spoil your loved one with a spa day, concluded with a stay in a luxurious Baltimore hotel.

For Friend Groups
When it comes to celebrating Galentine’s/Palentine’s Day, every friend group is different. Some want to channel their favorite pop group and dance all night long, while others prefer a more low-key night out. The good news? There’s room for both in Charm City.
- Spend the day at a “flocking fabulous” drag brunch at the Maryland Zoo and visit their famous flamingos up-close.
- Party all night long at a high-energy club or go head-to-head at a casual Baltimore game bar.
- Learn how to Lindy Hop at Mobtown Ballroom, which also boasts a full bar and food menu.
- Put on your detective hats to navigate a Baltimore-themed escape room.
- Practice self-love at a mindful paint & sip at Stem & Vine plant shop.
- Get creative at a hands-on class hosted by a Baltimore artisan. Make your own candles, throw pottery and more.

For Families
Between the vibrant colors and sugary treats, it’s no surprise that children love Valentine’s Day. Luckily, there are plenty of ways for them to celebrate it in Baltimore:
-
If your child prefers ice cream, opt for a cone from Bmore Licks, The Charmery or Taharka Brothers.
iGet crafty with your kids at The Enoch Pratt Library, which is hosting workshops for kids and adults to make their own Valentine’s/Palentine’s mix tapes and cards.
- Or, let their imagination run wild at the Craft Castle in Hampden, which has all the supplies they need to make their own Valentines.
- Older kids might enjoy painting their own pottery at Amazing Glaze in Mount Washington.
- And after all that hard work, reward the family to a sweet from a Baltimore bakery.
