On Wednesday, October 29, Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake joined NAACP officials and Tom Noonan, president and CEO of Visit Baltimore, to announce Baltimore as the location for the NAACP Annual Convention July 22-26, 2017. This will be the first time the convention will take place in Baltimore since 2000. Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake remarked, “Baltimore’s rich African-American heritage and culture are closely intertwined with the NAACP’s proud legacy, and we are delighted to bring the NAACP convention back home.”
